Finally the ONE!

During my task, I've seen and tried on almost every clothes and style. I must said that my taste of clothes can change from hour to hour. I just realized that what I needed it, was something that I could wear it for a cocktail party following a night out in the town with my girlfriends. Without being too over dress and still keeping the charm (If you know what I mean) I found this dress in Tfnc. Didn't like at first, although I changed my mind when I saw the price. In this economic crises, you can't afford to go and buy a £200 cocktail dress from All Saints or Whistles. So, with a little more time and patience I found this one. Well, it only cost me £42. To add up the outfit wear it with some gold acessories. A nice big ring will look great too. Wear it with black tights and high hills of course.

I will post later this weekend, a picture of me full-on with the outfit ready to go to party!

Backstage Action

That's exactly how it is! I mean, sort of.
Very funny!

PINK

A skull clutch that actually the only thing you can put inside would be your phone and your home key, is from Alexander McQueen and cost only £795. By the way, I LOVE the colour.

Work In Bristol

This week I went to Bristol to do a trunk show (vendors present the product directly to select customers) for Harvey Nichols. There, all the new collection from the big names are sold to the buyers. The buyers go to these trunk shows and can spend tens of thousands in just a few hours. Very expensive stuff and obviously there is nothing there that is on my budget. I mean, there is lots of stuff for £50, but then the only things I could get would be a pair of socks from Dolce & Gabanna, a coin purse from Donna Karan, or a mini wallet from Louis Vitton. Anyway, during my job I took some pictures of me and my friends. The clothes are gorgeous and fit us perfectly. The only bad thing is that we don't have the money to buy them but at least we got a chance to wear them.

Here are the pictures and the lovely prices:

Marc Jacobs quilted jacket £345. D&G pants for £170.

Sequin bolero £245 from Moschino. Leather jacket £510 Diesel. Joseph leather leggings £495.

     From left to right:

Anfissa is wearing a gorgeous dress from RM for just £950. Gabriela wears a £310 blazer from D&G with Philip Lim beaded dress for only £815.
Marc Jacobs beautiful sunglasses £210. Sabina wears a Lanvin embellished t-shirt £310. This cool Balenciaga trousers for just £215.

Not so bad.

You Made It and I Love It!

H&M sure knows how to make a good advertising. I Love It too!!

Mannequins

These outfits sure look good one the mannequin inside H&M but I personally don't think it would look good on a normal person like me.

As I'm walking inside Topshop I see those mannequins. And really made me want to be somewhere warm. Where I could wear shorts and t-shirts without freezing to death.

Around the shops

It has been ages since my last blog entry. I'm so sorry I've been busy working. I promise I will try to post everyday from now on. Well, last week I was frustrated with some clients that I worked with few weeks ago. They always delayed my payment and stuff. It's sad, because that means I can't go shopping. Anyway, even though I can't spend a penny yet, I went to see some clothes in New Look. I usually never go inside, because it isn't my cup of tea really. Perhaps, because I needed something to put myself steem a little higher that I found some good outfits. Super cheap too. Very very surprised!!

     Here is what I found:

This is a great cocktail-to-dinner dress, the gorgeous colour will ensure you stand out from the crowd at a party. For only £28.

Compliment the rock styling with a great leather jacket and a skinny belt. I think this look would work well lace up ankle boots. Cost £28.

This blouse is like the "off-duty" top. It would great on relax weekends with denim or black leggings. Use with gold or silver accessories. It's a bargain £22.

Test shoot

I've have decided to do a test shoot with my friend Katre. She is studying photography. This is one of her first shoots. Not too bad for a first try, we got most of the outfits in vintage shops. I personally like all of them.

The first one is more of a relaxed look, still very casual and perfect for a lazy Sunday. Total £32.

The second one is a completely different style. The red tights really stand out and with the ankle boots you are ready to rock it! Total £40.

The blouse on the third outfit shows a modern look. The scarf you can use either as a belt or around your neck. The right outfit for your daily commitments. Jeans from Bershka. Total £45.

Camden Town

Went to visit Camden Market today and took some pictures of what I found; some interesting and cool pieces. Some of them passed over my budget but I still thought it was good to have an alternative selection.
£ 35

The bow in the front and the details on the shoulders makes the outfit look sophisticated. The ballerina skirt adds a touch of softness.

£ 25

Ohh this vintage looking outfit is one of my favourites. The butterfly arm bits are really nice and pretty. Its a very classic look. Wear it with black tights and high heels you can't go wrong.

£55

My favourite found of the day!!! This dress really got my attention. The material and the sleeves make it original. I'm sure once you are wearing it you probably feel like a greek goddess. The detail of the scarf shows that you can wear it during the day for an afternoon tea or something similar, the only thing is that it went a bit above my budget.

£25

When I looked at this dress, I thought of a bright sunny day in Spain. Wearing red lipstick and white Ray Ban glasses you will have a fatale look.

Second option

I just found this other look, which is similar to the Alexander Wang collection in my opinion.
This vintage knit vest top with roses can go with black leggings, light or dark skinny jeans with a ankle boots.

£35

Beautiful! Romantic! It's a really sweet knit vest. The falling roses gives the idea of the start of chemical romance. Flirty.

£15

Leggings are a good and practical accessory. Black leggings are one piece you need to make sure you have in your wardrobe!

This outfit will cost me total of £49,75.
The vest is from Rockit and the leggings from Asos .

Vintage

Vintage is what I usually like to wear if I'm out and about around East London. Different place, different outfit. 70's dresses and retro blouses are on my wishlist. You really have to make an effort to look flawless. Make up must include RED lipstick.

My obsession a few months ago was a Fur Coat. I really wanted a vintage one. I know most of you out there are against it, but anyway I ended up buying a vintage one. So, I don't feel so guilty! For my despair the fur on my left sleeve, completly ripped off. Ahhhh! I was shocked. I only wore it twice. So, I brought back to the shop and I got a £90 credit on any Rockit store in London. Good one!

For today's post I will focus on my task of getting a vintage outfit. Don't know if in the end of my challenge I will choose them, but it will definitely be one of my options.

Option one: Love necklaces, I think they are one of the things you MUST wear. It gives that femine look. Only £12

Okay, some of you might think that I've choosen the wrong dress. For me it is ideal to go for a play in WestEnd theatres. Look closely to the detail of the flower and the gold around the wrist and waist really adds to the outfit. Wear with a pair of black tights and vintage shoes. Only £35.
This outfit will cost me total of £47. The dress is from Absolute Vintage Absolute Vintage and the neckless from Rockit.

.... and the Best of the Best

Alexander Wang - is one of the youngest designers at the moment. He is making his way to the top very very quickly. I love Alexander Wang's Fall '09 collection. He always keep the rock'n roll style, yet chic and sophisticated. It is attracting loads of women around the globe.
Check it out on www.alexanderwang.com

This beautiful sweater cost only: £450
It is completly out of my budget.

My taste of clothes

As most of us know London Fashion Week just finished and for me to get inspired for a up-to-date outfit I went and checked on a few of my favourites designers collections spring / summer 2009. My favourites are:

Margaret Howel

The first look feels like you are a schoolgirl again. The shorts and sandals make it feel like summer is just around the corner.
The second one is more casual yet very sexy. In this babydoll looking dress and the tights, people wonder what else does she have to give. Great!!!

Jaeger

The first dress looks like it is made from the finest material. It will fit it perfectly on a private boat somewhere in Cannes. Yes!!
The other one is more for a walk on the beach, when you have already soaked up all the sun. Beautiful color!! Purple is the color of the moment in my opnion.

Paul Smith

Both these dresses are the best ones for a night out in London town. They make you look sexy, provocative and mysterious. Love it!!
